Smushy Faces

I was in the kitchen this evening waiting for my dinner to heat up and when I looked over to see what monster was up to, I saw smushy faces staring back at me through the window. She is becoming quite the entertainer; we've been laughing a little harder than normal lately.

Sticker Tattoos

You can never have too many sticker tattoos. Am I right, or am I right!

In Her Own Little World

Mallory and I took advantage of the cooler temps this evening and went for a little walk up to our neighborhood park. After laughing our heads off on the swings for a good 20 minutes - I've mentioned she loves the swings, right!? - monster was bored of the playground and started roaming around the park. So I lead her to the wooded area behind the baseball field and it was like she was in her own little world. I sat back and watched her soak up nature; it made this outdoor-loving mom smile.

Total Buds

Mallory has become a super daddy's girl as of late. It's so adorable to see them together, especially when she specifically requests his presence. They're total buds right now. When I start to feel jealous, I tell myself that it's probably because he's the guy who folds to her wishes. Not all the time, but more than me. He's also the one who has been bribing her with cookies when we have to give her the medicine she's on right now; even if it means that the promised cookie is right before bed time and after we already brushed our teeth. I have to smile though, cuz I have my 'fold moments' with monster too. That's the fun part of being a parent.

Keeping Us on Our Toes

This is what happens when you attempt to work from home and look after a sick, bored toddler at the same time. Jody's gonna be so upset; he hates that our couch is becoming the aftermath of a war. I get it; it's an extra expense to replace that we don't, and shouldn't, need to have right now. I've learned to except that all of our current furniture is slowly becoming destroyed, but I'm still attempting to get as much of the pen out as possible. Resolve upholstery cleaner seems to be working the best after trying a Magic Eraser, some Windex, and alcohol with very little success. It's not out all the way but at least it's less noticeable. I think I'll just keep going and Resolve the whole couch. Life is a little hectic at the moment and monster does a good job at keeping us on our toes!
